A TV Show Reminder Tool
About
Static is a simple tool that allows people in the UK to be reminded when
their favourite TV or radio shows are about to start.
Using Static is easy, but here are a few basic steps to get started:
- Install Java. This can be found at http://www.java.com.
Since Static was written in the Java programming
language, Java is needed for it to run. The above website should
automatically put the latest version onto your computer.
- Download Static and unzip the file into a
folder on your hard drive.
- Run Static.exe. Now you can select your favourite shows, close the
window, and relax - Static will remind you whenever a show is about to begin!
- 01/10/2005 - Static Beta 1.1 released, the auto-updater should download
and install it when you next run Static.
- Selectable channels - you no longer have to scroll through ones you don't
have
- Sound notification - a discreet sound is played to notify that a show is
about to start (any wav file can be used if preferred)
- Improved interface when editing favourites
- 26/9/2005 - Static Beta 1.0 released! I hope you find it useful!
