A TV Show Reminder Tool

About

Static is a simple tool that allows people in the UK to be reminded when their favourite TV or radio shows are about to start.

Using Static is easy, but here are a few basic steps to get started:

  1. Install Java.  This can be found at http://www.java.com.

Since Static was written in the Java programming language, Java is needed for it to run.  The above website should automatically put the latest version onto your computer.

  2. Download Static and unzip the file into a folder on your hard drive.

  3. Run Static.exe.  Now you can select your favourite shows, close the window, and relax - Static will remind you whenever a show is about to begin!

  1. Selectable channels - you no longer have to scroll through ones you don't have
  2. Sound notification - a discreet sound is played to notify that a show is about to start (any wav file can be used if preferred)
  3. Improved interface when editing favourites
